    Hmm...define "early" first.

Since it was made 20 or so years after the company was formed....there is a gray area.

Altec did call similar systems VOTTs...but I believe later on...so calling it a VOTT isn't too much of a stretch...

I would describe it as being an older, very collectible Altec. You probably only have one? Not uncommon since listening systems of the 50's were mono...

    It's an 811 horn I think...

    802 is actually the driver.

    Specs on those here...

I would think an 846 might be a better comparison?

The 416 is an update of the 803 woofer, the 802 is the cheaper driver but similar...

Does your horn look like that? I can't remember seeing the model you mention offhand...but I am sure I have. I would probably recognise it if you posted a picture...

Just figure the 803 and 802 specs, and you'll have what you need.

Regardless...I don't think you had any intent, but I just realized this is the same stuff you posted about in the other thread...

On most boards that is considered rude...it clutters up the board.

Please stick to one thread from now on.

Your major focus seems to be in selling it...this really isn't a selling board, it's an advice board..

We do have a classified section, ads go there.

In the future please be considerate and stick to one thread.

    Thanks!
